Research

An important focus of QNMR Core Center is quantitative neuroimaging and molecular imaging for functional and cellular specificity. State-of-the-art multi-modal MRI, heteronuclear MRS, neurophysiology cultivated by on-going efforts have created a central role for in vivo brain research in experimental neuroscience. Fundamental results with far reaching implications for brain function shape the research efforts.

The QNMR Core Center is directed by D. S. Fahmeed Hyder (Professor, Diagnostic Radiology and Biomedical Engineering). The main resources for QNMR Core Center are the high-field horizontal-bore magnets (4.0T, 7.0T, 9.4T, 11.7T) and the neurophysiology laboratory located at the Magnetic Resonance Research Center (MRRC) at Yale.
